16/5/2013. We always seem to supermarket-shop on a "Diet" day, when we try to eat less than 600 kcal and don't drink alcohol. Oh well...
Shopped at Globus, a huge supermarket with everything from mopeds and scooters to safety pins. Vast arrays of fresh fruit and vegetables and virtually everything you'd find in a British supermarket plus a lot more. Very impressive.
16/5/2013. Autocamp Sasanka, Sadov. Today's campsite is OK - quite expensive at 340Kc per night without electricity but including, bless it, wifi. We've also paid 100Kc to be able to use the small washing machine - no dryer - tomorrow when no doubt it will be raining.
17/5/2013. No job for me at the Met. Office. Woke to sunshine, used the washing machine, caught the bus to town, had a pizza and salad lunch, watched a foursome of elderly German bikers get booked for parking on the pavement, bussed it back, put the chairs out and wrote this. Now cloudy and a strongish breeze. Debating whether or not to nip back to Germany to obtain euros before continuing to Prague.
The decision is made. We back-track somewhat to Hof, southern Bavaria, on the Czech border.
