That pic of the Alpine village and valley is fantastic. I did not think you budget would stand Switzerland..at least it encourgaes you both to be tea-total, maybe orange-squash total with free alpine spring water..or melted snow.

Weird, eh? Almost desert like one week, a metre of snow the next.

Lots of flooding in Czech republic and Poland. maybe heatwave and smelly canals in Venice.

And a great win for Pompey at Fulham.

Hey Buster, 10 days into your trek and the web-site says you are still in London. Michael Palin was already on programme 3.

There is no room in the garage for camels and its too cold for cobras and chameleons.
