Barcelona at 7am and the long siesta
We arrived at barcelona trainand bus station at 7am both knackered from the nightmare bus journney. Seemed whenever u got to sleep the bus would stop for another toilet break and turn the lights on. It was just dawn the sun was just rising and i was still in my zip off shorts, it wasnt cold though. We found our hotel straight away it was on top of the train station. We eventually found the entrance to the hotel and left our bags we couldnt check in till after 12 so hit the metro to the beach.
We got to the beach and wandered down the harbours and down the beach the clean up crew where out clearing the crap of the night before. Seemed all the tramps used the beach as there hangout as we walked past loads of them. There was even a hospital on the beach front? If im ill i'll have the seaview room please! Quality. We walked around barcelona and hit a local grocery store i grabbed a can of fanta and we sat at the park watching the old blokes play boules. This game was good me and copey where itching to play but somehow i dont think they would let us, be we must have to be over 50 to play. Some guys had a magnet on the end of a piece of string and instead of bending over to pick the balls up they just picked them up with the string and carried them off.
We checked in after 12 and the room was huge again. I like this 4* living. I washed my trainers as id worn them for a full 14 days so they were humming there own tune now. We then went to the nou camp to see if we could buy any tickets direct for the inter milan game. We got to the ticket office and suprisingly they said no tickets sold here all via internet which we had already tried. No luck there. We wandered back to the hotel with our trusty copey satnav and i went to bed for another siesta. Copey disappeared, needless to say it was another long seista that lasted until wednesday.
