Here is a quick summary:
/12 = Venezuela, Choroni = Spent one day on a small island called Chuao accessibñe only by fishing boat. You walk for an hour on the island to a small village a see Cacao being made and the forest itself has loads of the fruit to pick and eat.
/12 Last day in Choroni was spent on the local beach, we also saw a live band as well.
/12 - 07/12 Chichiriviche = Not much to do in this town, as I had NO money I mainly walked aroung the small town really which was a bit boring and quiet.
/12-10/12 0 Coro, did some sight seeing round the colonial city and visited this desert outside the town which was beautiful.
/12-14/12 Arrived in Columbia and they accept my ATM! Beautiful country although the border was really confusing. Staying at Santa Marta a beautiful local village. The next day we travel to Tayrona National Park the hike form the taxi stopping òint on 7km to camp. We spend the night in hammocks on top of a cliff face. The next day myself and another member of the group take a hike up to the pre-hispanic village of Pueblito a buried town that still has a tribe living there. The journey is 13km up across massive boulders and jungle terrain with no well established path. Needless to say we got lost and spent an hour shouting for help before a local found us!
/12 Arrive at Cartegena after a really long bus drive. In the evening we view a massive dance off in the plaza.
/12 Explore the city - I visit the Castle, several churches, the museum of gold, markets, walk around the fort, see lots of modern art in the streets alongside street performers and enjoy amazing fruit juices and coconut!
