Well, it's our second last day in Vancouver and our first rainy day here. Emma finally got to pull out her pretty little raincoat (Thank you, Auntie Sandy), although we have yet to christen the Dora rain boots.

Today was a low-key day. Emma woke up before the roosters of the world at 5:10 AM Vancouver time, much to her parents' dismay. Where does this little girl get the energy, seriously?? Anyway, we sleepily stumbled along behind her as she toddled around North Vancouver. We visited several stores for little people and then swung by the Bake Shop for a flavourless blueberry/oatmeal muffin. Not that it stopped Aimee from eating it all.

Back at Auntie Gail's house, Emma received her first keyboard lesson from her very patient Uncle Garry. Stay tuned for the video!

When nap time for Emma finally rolled around, we napped too, and what a glorious nap it was! We all felt much better after that, and we were ready for our road trip south to visit Ross, Carla and Christian. We hadn't seen them since our wedding and we were very excited to introduce them to Emma!

We had a great visit with them. Pato had fun reminiscing about old times and the carrot cakes Ross used to bake. ;-) They made us a delicious dinner, and we really enjoyed our time with them. We will post the pictures soon. Emma spent her time exploring the house, climbing stairs, and occasionally stopping to eat a strawberry, piece of bread, or a spoonful of yogurt. When she had run herself ragged, it was time to head back to North Van.

And here we are, back on Auntie Gail's couch, happy to be warm and dry and grateful to have had such a fun-filled time here. Tomorrow Aimee will reunite with her dear friend Anna who she hasn't seen for five years, and we will have dinner with Auntie Gail, Uncle Garry, Meghan and Marcus.
