7/8/9th - the remaining 3 days at Lanta Nature Beach was mainly relaxing at the beach. During the time here Marie and Oscar got some new friends from Copenhagen. Marie even slept one night together with Caroline (girl) who was there with her mum. They also exchanged mail addresses so let us she if we have a longterm friendship started here. All five of us also had massage during the time here for Asta it was only foot massage. For half an hour she was just as quit as while she is asleep. A special thing here and probably in many other places in Thailand is how the level of water changes a lot. At Nature beach around 10am in the morning we could go 10 meters out in the water and the level would be around 1,8 meter. However around 3-4pm big rocks would come a sight and to reach the same level you would have to go at least 50-60 meters out in the water.
10th - time to move on after nine good days at Langa Nature resort. We were picked up at 11.30 to be driven in to the pier. It is amazing how people here think when it comes to chosing veicle. He came in an open pick-up 4x4 and the five of us plus all our stuff had to be there. Basically that was not a problem, however two more adults came plus their bags. Of course there was still space inside but that kind of narrows down easily when we picked up two more and before the pier also stuffed in five more as well. And the end we got to the pier on the boat an hour and a little more on the water and there was Phi Phi Don. Unfortunately we had only been able to find a room on the west side near the the pier. This is also where the most daily turists come in from a lot of places nearby like Phuket fx. We found our resort and also had time to get in the pool. When it is more than 30 deg one do like to be cooled down a bit.
11th - we preferred to stay at the pool because many of the daily turists that comes in by speed boat or long tail boat actually more or less park at the beach outside our resort. This means that there is very little space to swim in the water there. Later we had a late lunch at a bar/cafe where Oscar and Marie were tought how to swing with chains. It is a thin chain with a ball look alike at the end. They enjoyed it and the guys that helped them learn asked if could come and see their show later. Of course they would and mummi could not say no. We went back to our room where Oscar and I saw an easy win for Manchester U against Liverpool. Asta was put to sleep while mum and Marie went night shopping during the match. When they came back Pernille took Oscar and Marie to see that show where the performance was with fire included.
12th - another day with snorkelling. We had booked a half day tour with a couple of places for snorkelling plus a few more sites to look at. Of the snorkelling tours we have been this captain/guide was the best. He was alone but very helpfull and took his time to try and explain the various sites for us. He also brought along a lot of toast bread which turned out to be a great idea. Unfortunately a day with wind not strong but enough to make the ride at some times uncomfortable at least for some. It looks fine but you leave the bay and get to open sea it gets hmmmmm bumpy. The tour was around Phi Phi Leh a very beautiful island with great nature. Again the snorkelling was great. Asta decided not to go in this time, instead she enjoyed to throw out pieces of bread so 200-300 small fish would go for it at the same time. Very interesting getting a piece of bread thrown just infront of you and within a split secund you would have fish all around you. Next stop was Maya bay which is the place where the movie "the beach" was recorded. It was a beautiful place but to make a long story short - we were not the only ones there. Further on to a new snorkelling place. A little better than first place because the sun was on this side it makes the water more clear. But this was also were the wind came in so the water was not very calm at all. Final stop at Phi Phi Leh was in a bay where you could only get from the morning till early afternoon. You could stay in there but then you would not be able to get out before next day. Like mentioned from Koh Lanta the change in water level is so unbelievable. The tour ended at a place on Phi Phi Don called Monkey beach. I think Pernille got a photo of Oscar feeting a monkey. Back to the resort and in the pool. Before going to sleep Oscar lost his second tooth on this tour. But it is the two front teeth in his upper mouth so saying three is not so easy anymore.
