th - Time to say good bye to Phi Phi Don Island. If I ever come back I want to stay on the other side of the island where it is more quiet. We checked out and spent the morning at poolside. We had to leave at 2.20 pm to the pier. We were going by ferry to Rai Lay which is a half island close to Krabi. It is surrounded by rocks so arrival is from seaside only. After 1,5 hour on the ferry we arrived safe to the beach and after a short walk we meet Pernille's sister her two boys and her ex which is also the boys father. Rest of the day was just getting the room and then dinner.
th - a day like many others spent on the beach enjoying life and the family which we were to be together with until Saturday morning. To have something to do Wednesday we booked a snorkelling tour for all nine of us.
th - the snorkelling tour was for three /four stops and just for half a day. Weather again like many other days was perfect. The island we were going arround is called chicken island because one of the rocks that goes high in the air has the shape of a chicken. There is no doubt that the ranging of these snorkelling places is the lowest. Only at one of the places the water was clear and many types of fish. Still it was a nice tour and we were back around 2 pm.
th - we went on a two hours (kayaking) tour in four kayaks. It was just to do something different and looking at the nature from seaside was magnificent. Back on the beach I booked a half day course for rock climbing for Marie, Oscar, their cousin Christian and I.
th - I have to admit that I was very exited about the four hours course we were going to participate in. We went to the shop at 10am where each of us got equipment to fit us. After this we went with our own guide to the place where we should do the climbing. Christian and I tried at four different levels, Marie at three and Oscar at one. We all four enjoyed it very much and I do hope this is not the last I have experienced this. The highest climb we did I would anticipate to be app 35-45m up.
/19th - time to say good bye to the family that left at 10am. We were leaving at 2.20pm again first longtail boat, then mini van to Surat Thani and finally with night bus to Bangkok.
Arrival in Bangkok was 5.30am it was a nice drive and we all had some sleep. So early in the morning Bangkok actually looked quiet. We went to the hotel we stayed at when we came back from Shangmai. We already booked this in September 2011, however arriving this early the room was not ready. A walk playing on Nintendos and spending time at the pool (located on the rooftop) killed time.
iest - spent the morning at pool side and afterwards we took one of the river boats to Wat Pho temple to see a big lying buddha 15m high and 40m long. After this we had a tjuk tjuk to MBK which is a huge shopping mall where we spend some money. Tomorrow is 21st which means it is time to go home. We have booked the room for Tuesday night as well even though we are leaving around 8 pm. Wednesday we should be back in DK and normal life starts again next Monday. Take care everyone
