On my last night here in France I want to make sure I soak up every last breath if this wonderful city and all it has to offer.
I came back down by Pont Neuf and the St Michel's area to just wander. I'm hungry but having a hard time finding something that looks or 'reads' yummy in French and has free wi-fi so I can chat. I finally found an old staple--the restaurant I ate at on my last trek with my mom and Em. Had a club sandwich French style which includes a hard boiled egg. Try it--it's good.
I had quite the adventure today. Do you know how hard it is to find a stamp in this city?! I roamed from street to street in my search with no luck. You can only buy them in tabac shops or the post office-- you think that would be easy since everyone in Paris smokes and needs their tobacco, right? Wrong. I think buying cigarettes must be a government-controlled business along with stamps. Anyways, I finally found a shop near my hotel and would you believe the shop worker wouldn't sell them to me since I already had postcards?! I was so pissed. Now if I were in the states I probably would have stood up for myself but since I wasn't and alone I walked away madder than a hornet. At that moment I hated all French people and their government-run businesses.
