Well I have been home for a couple of days now which in hindsight is a miracle in itself due to the havoc snow has been causing to UK airports. My journey of 31 hours door-to-door including 1 hour and 8 hours delay at Bangkok and Doha airports respectively seems a smooth journey compared to some of the poor souls who look like they could be…
Well hello there, first off thanks for checking out my blog. For those you don't know me, my name is Phil and I am recreating a famous film I have never seen by travelling the globe in eighty days (unintentionally I might add). I will be posting my thoughts and feelings here so you can keep up to date with where I am throughout my travels.
The world is a book and I am embarking on my first chapter...

Glad you're having a good time little bro, sounds like you got most of NY covered and hope you were actually able to see the action in the ice hockey with your restricted view seat, sounded exciting! You're lucky you got to go outside on the Empire State, when we went up it had snowed and was too icy outside for them to let us out. Everything has gone a bit crazy here since term started. Matt has moved out, my landlord and his gf have moved in (wasn't keen but they actually seem really nice tho), starting my tutoring next week. Also going to see Mumford and Sons tomorrow, so looking forward to that. Hope you have fun in SF, you will have to put some pics up soon!

Hey Phil, sounds like you are having a lot of fun already! I know what you mean about these places not geared up for travellers, no cheap deals or anything, they know they can trap tourists with insane prices. I hope you have warm weather in San Fran - i forgot to tell you, go on a walking tour which is free (they rely on donations) - there is one where you can see all the city by night, which is brilliant! Have fun :)
Stu I bet they did a mean cheese roll!! x
