Softball with a few twists today. Game one not so good. The girls warmed up poorly and played terrible. They could not hit or make too much happen in the field. Lost bad to a team that went extra innings to a team we stayed pretty close with. I think the day off was not too good for the girls.
Game two did not start out much better. Alishia on first and Andrea on the mound we are down 7-1. Finally we start hitting and the game is tied. Alishia is put back on the mound and continues to hold them at 7. Then with bases loaded hits a rocket to left field which lands just before the fence, two run double. Up by two. We hold the lead until the 7th where Miami ties the game extra innings. We tie again in the 8th. Miami's bats come alive in the top of 9 and get 7 hits and 9 runs. We only come back with 2. But I have to say it was fun to watch!
This team has such potential if they can get there team dynamics together before we leave myrtle beach the season could be rather positive.
Since softball took all day we went to the Tanger outlets to get some batting gloves for one of the girls who bought the wrong size and headed back toward the hotel for dinner.
We went to the River City Pub for a good old fashioned burger and homemade fries then back to the hotel. Jonathan Face timed me, he wanted to see the ocean. So he got a tour of our room and the walk to the beach. He was very excited to see the waves. I showed him all the shells and he found one he liked and had me bring it home with me. I so miss those kids. It was nice to experience the ocean with him. Maybe next year he will be big enough to sit through softball and can come along with us.
The day finally ended at 8:30 pm and I went to bed. Though now it is 1:30 am and I am wake.
Dicki feels like crude. The pollen in the air is pretty heavy and his nose is stuffed up so he is not sleeping well and tomorrow games are at 9:00.
So back to sleep I go or at least I try! Night!
