Hey all!
just a quick hello from Perth as im having to log on at internet cafe's the now... Bill's pc is down and im just bk from my week tour on Friday so not managed to log on till now.
My Perth to Exmouth tour was bit crap at beggining in terms of the group but the places i was going was amazing! The group was 22 which is really big and apart from one other gal, everyone was travelling in 2s or more, biggest being group of 8! All the foreign folk on tour only spoke their language and made no effort to mix with anyone else so was bit crap. Luckily they had all only booked the 3 day version so left on day 3, leaving only 9 of us! luckily it was the folk i was getting on with, few irish, few english.
Went up and seen the Pinnacles, we went gorge walking around Kalbarri national park, we done sandboarding down massive sandunes! That was first couple of days.
From there we went up to place called Monkey Mia, beautiful bays, stayed one night and the beach is famous for the dolphins that just come in and swim around you looking for a feed! so after dinner first night there was beach party going on so few of us wandered along for the night. Next morning it was up at 6am to go out and see the dolphins coming in for the daily morning feeding by the park guards. So we were all up to our waist in the sea and there was about 6 dolphins just swimming round us, showing of, doing turns and popping head in and out of water! it was amazing! It was even better cause it wasn't like they were held in captive, they are wild and just come to beach every morning and night! I have some great photos that will be seen on here eventually someday!
Went up to place called Ningaloo Reef, spent night there, the day consisted of swimming in clear blue seas and lying on amazing white sand! heaven! Then up to final stop Exmouth for 2nights there. We went to Yardie Creek at Exmouth, done some more gorge walking, and went to few different beaches around the areas.
The trip was pretty cool though. I mean i have never seen so many wild kangaroo's jumping around, was cool. There was wild emu's, lizzards, all just wandering around the outback when we were driving. Some pretty amazing sunsets too!
On last night we stayed at a farmstay - i tried the kangaroo stew! haha, was actually quite nice. Not something i would like to eat all the time but it was nice.
Then on last day we went home via wildlife park...fed all the animals, then went to snake display. I held a snake on my hand, never in my life did i plan on doing that. Then when Vicky was taking a pic for me the keeper put another one round my neck!! I laughed, it was either that or crying! haha, was actually ok though! lessens the fear! Then i donated few dollars to go in the pen with the wild dingos and play with them. 2 adults and few puppies, they were amazing!! made me miss max so much!
Back in Perth now,Saturday i went shopping in Freemantle with Bill's daughter in law Sharon, done the markets and the shops, was cool. Then met my friends vicky and clare from tour for farewell drinks, they were heading up north for a different tour starting next day.
Sunday we went to Bill's friends Kevin and Wendy for BBQ and drinks, they had invited us round, Kevin even wore a scotland shirt for me! was pretty funny. Has to be said though...the ozzie BBQ was pretty damn good! loved it and didn't have room for dinner either.
Up early this morning as my boyfriend was just in from pub in scotland after football and wanted a chat, so that was my wake up call at 7am! So got up and wandered into town with Bill.
2moro i have booked a bus down to Margaret River, down South West Oz, 6hours from Perth and booked into hostel for 2nights. It is famous for its surfing beaches and wine tasting so that should be good.
Back Thurs night, Fri im meeting friend Sam (met on other tour) for drinks and catch up then on Sunday 26th im leaving Perth. Booked onto the Nullabor tour, from Perth to Adelaide, over the nullabor plain, takes 9days but can't wait! Then that is me on East Coast and after few nights in Adelaide im heading for Melbourne! woo!
hope everyone is doing great, hopefully get pics on when bill's pc is sorted, got my oz number now, so have txt most of you the number so now it's cheap for me to keep in touch!
missing everyone xxx
ps. the pic is from Nature's window, which is in kalbarri national park, i done the walk up to that! amazing views!
