Hey Guys, Managed to get a couple of days of work so we went to Raglan to check out the surf. Its the number 1 surf spot in New Zealand. Its a really small town though but brings in a lot of people, even Jack Johnson has a house here. Yesterday the 17th Jan was our 2 year annivesary, went out for a surf got sun burnt and went for a nice meal. So from Bay of Islands our road trip took us south passed through Auckland and the Coromandel Peninsular to the Bay of Plenty. We stayed in a campsite fo a few days looking for work and now we're set, got ourselves a job and a house, so we're here now for up to 6 months, don't worry though the road trips will keep coming and updates will still happen but maybe not as often. Any way gotta go eat steak.
So we got ourselves a van! The Hasselhoffer!! and the same day we left Auckland and headed north to the BAy of Isalnds. This place is cool, it's a huge tourist attraction because there's so much water activities to do, from swimming with dolphins to surfing. We stayed here a week with a trip to the far north, where we tried sandboarding, reached the northern most point of NZ and saw the entrance to the maui underworld. Everyone in the bay is friendly...
Hey Guys,Just a quick update to say we're in Auckland at the moment, got here on the 25th Nov spent our time getting ourselves sorted for 8 months of travel and work (but mainly travel), bought a camper van, when we get it on monday 4th we're off.
