My lodging in Sydney was a multi level modern house within walking distance of the fabulous Sydney harbor.
I started my holiday in Sydney visiting the beaches, cruzing the harbor, shopping in the city as well as local craft markets, eating out, walking the parks, viewing the Opera house, Botanical Gardens and the Harbor bridge, many coffees and lots of fresh food .... and more.
Progressed via Virgin airlines to the Northern Terrority and the RED center of Australia to see Ayres Rock and the desert region and the changing colors of the aboriginal lands. Even ate Kangaroo at a Sounds of Silence dinner in the middle of the desert watching the world change color at the sun set and the moon and stars came out in incredible clarity and brilliance.
Then it was up to Brisbane again on Virgin airlines and out to John's farm for a spot of riding in the forests and mountains and lakes that border his horse farm. I rode an incredible Arabian named Chaivu and the adrenalin was certainly surging in my veins as he sped through the forests
I spent a couple of days on the Gold Coast (near the border of Queensland and New South Wales) where I went fishing with John and his friend.
We caught 2 huge mud crabs and a bucket full of sea Brim and all were cooked and eaten that evening ... Chinese style.
I also saw the fabulous Gold Coast beaches ... they stretch for miles and miles and do have golden sand.
John took me to a wild life park where i could be up close and personal with Koala Bears , Kangaroos , dingo's, Tasmanian tigers and Emu ... and I saw a Kangaroo with a Joey in its pouch just feet away ....
Now I am heading to Toowoomba an inland garden city and then up to the Great Barrier Reef ... will report more as time permits.
Hope you enjoy my photos... just click on the PHOTOS icon at top of page.
