Hi, Canberra has a reputation for being only porn and politics, I do know that the latter one is certainly true! - It has a man made city that is not that old and was only built to settle a dispute between Melbourne and Sydney as to which city should be capital! During the day I visited the Australia War memorial which was very big and grand, as well as the National Museum of Australia which was very interesting and lots of hands on exhibits. After leaving Canberra (headed towards Sydney) we saw a sign for a Platypus reserve and stopped of there!! - and we were lucky enough to see a Platypus - which are even rarer than the Wombat! - Kit was very happy as it meant that he could now tick off another animal from his most wanted list!!
