Our good friends, Erich and Bre, taught us a great American made-up word many years ago and it has stuck. Greegrog - the horrible taste in your mouth/smell of your breath after a long roadtrip eating McDonald's and Starburst and lacking a toothbrush. I would like to introduce you all to the French version of greegrog. It is pronounced "gray-grow" which sounds more sophisticated, but is just as disgusting. It comes from jambon and pan from the Autogrille, Snickers, and warm Coke.
"Gray-grow" and all, we have arrived in the most charming village in the Burgundy region of France; Pommard. We are staying at a B&B/vineyard for three nights. I think I could stay here forever. It is perfect after the bustle of Paris. Last night Anthony and the girls went swimming and we had a great dinner at a local place. Today, Anthony borrowed a bike and was gone for quite a bit. He said the countryside is beautiful. We have done a lot of school work. The girls absolutely love their substitute teacher, Grandma!
