Hi all!

It's already been 3 days so I thought it's time to update you all.

Thankfully both my suitcase and I got here in one piece which is always the first relief when you're going to be away for so long.

I was met at the hotel very late at night by two of the other Ghanaian Team Leaders Staniel and Ben who had stayed up to greet me which was very sweet of them and reassuring. I've met most of the VSO team now during training and in a day or two i'm going to be leaving my short-lived comfort and taking a 13 hour through the night coach to Jirapa which is where my actual placement is.

While there I am going to meet the host families, locals, prominent supporters etc and get orientated with the area before heading back to Accra for a couple of days preparations and last minute relaxing before all of the mayhem starts and the volunteers arrive.

I'll update you all once training is over and i've got photos of something other than my hotel to share!
