Just a quick one before we leave the house tomorrow and head back to Amy's grandma's house. Not all that much to catch up on as it's only been a day, but since we won't have easy access to internet again for a week or so it's better to over-blog?
After our entry yesterday we were picked up by Chuey and James and we went to the Supreme Court gardens in Perth city centre for the IGA Carols by Candlelight. It was so beautiful, the carols were lovely (except for a murdered version of Silent Night that included a key change much to our disgust!!! And sung by a man who look very like the prince in Monty Python's Holy Grail.) There were hundreds if not thousands of people there with picnic blankets and food, they gave everyone a candle each to hold and the evening was finished with sepctacular fireworks that were so big they seemed to touch the skyscrapers! We had a great time and are feeling more festive now :) You won't be disappointed to hear that we did have a minor cockroach incident again. We're going for the record now.
Today we've been cleaning the house up, making cookies and getting essentials in for when the family arrive home, packing and we also made a trip to meet some other friends of Ellen's parents whose house we will be looking after just after christmas. After we'd been to meet them, Yvonne took us back to their house where we had a nice catch up chat with Patrick, Amy's Dad's cousin. As it's the last night and there was lots of food to use up we had a crazy big meal and our tummys are now bursting!!
As this'll be the last blog before christmas, we hope you all have an amazing time and get everything you asked for :)
Loads and loads of love, and some more,
