Hey guys,
Sorry it's been so long, we've been doing so much! We'll tell you all about it.
So firstly we got on a big ass bus in Fraser Island. This island is 98% sand and has 70% of Australia's shark attacks so cam could not surf here :( we got on a 4x4 bus which was so fun! Cam thought he was going to be sick at one point but that's because he's a little baby ;) it was even harder to travel on because he hadn't rained for 5 months so the sand was really soft.
First we went to a shipwreck and then the coloured sands. Apparently there's about 60 different colours. We only saw 3, mainly orange.. The creek was cool. Cam pushed me in on video but for some reason we're having trouble uploading any videos at the minute.
Dad, (Martyn) it was full of Australian you's. They would all come in there 4x4's with there fishing rods attached to their cars and sit with there sons drinking a tinny with loud thin lizzy music singing a long.
We then went to this amazing lake! Lake MacKenzie. It was a salt water lake and the sand was 70% silica so it was so soft! The water makes your hair softer too. On the way down we got stuck because there were two buses in our way trying to move. We all had to get out and we nearly missed the ferry back which meant we'd have missed our over night bus which means we would have missed our Whitsundays boat! We were stressing out.
We made it though and even had enough time to get our goon for the boat trip. Our bus journey was 11 hours from 9pm till 8am. We actually slept pretty well and before we new it was about 6am!
We wish we'd done the 2 nights camping trip there though instead but we'll definitely go back and do it again sometime!
