My idea of a labyrinth or maze is a two-dimensional construction. The first and authentic labyrinth is three dimensional. The genius of this building is its use of open-air doors, light wells, and closed spaces to control breeze and light, warmth and cold. The position of the doors channeled the wind coming up the gorge from the sea to provide cool in summer, warmth in winter.
