Well after an interrupted sleep. The wind was strong all night but the tent stood up to it very well. The morning started off beautifully and quite warm.
We quickly moved a few things around in the back of the car to make them easier to get at in our future endeavours at camping. Adventure of many lessons.
Carey got chatting to the neighbours while i took a quick 3 minutes stroll down to the river foreshore for the Pelican feeding and chat. The weather at this point was still nice.
I came back had breaky. Got my porridge this time with no dramas. Then we headed out to find the laundromat andthen go do some sightseeing.
The owners of the laundromat were lovely and kindly offered to transfer my washing from the machines to the dryers and then text me when finished. We got back from ur sightseeing to find it all folded and bagged up ready to go. Gtta love people like that.
So while the washing was on we went for a drive to the south of the town into the national park. Different roads took us out onto lookouts above the cliff face. We got wet several times as each time we got out of the car down came one of those WA showers. Heavy and fast. (One happening right now while im typing in the confines of our tent.)
The coastline was beautiful and just watching the waves bound against the rocks was enjoyable along with other crazy tourist. Of which there are many here most heading south,
We also visited Jakes Point beach which they rate as a well hidden world class surfing beach. Looking at the shore line with all the rocks there i dont think I'd be surfing there, But then I don;t surf.
Back to town and lunch at a lovel little cafe before we headed back to the tent for a relaxing afternoon.
Now to sit n the tent and listen to the rain.
