3rd June 2013- meet this morning for a walking tour of the Cienfuegos. Walked along the main shopping street to the old square. It was flanked by beautifully restored colonial buildings. The town centre building was very nicely restored. There was a monument to Jose Marti in the square. Then walked along to the water front to the port and customs building. Back to the Casa to pack and then drove to Trinidad. Arrived at the Casa accommodation dropped of our bags ...

2nd June 2013- enjoyed breakfast at the Casa and then got ready to leave Vinales. It is a long driving day today. We left at 9:30 and for a couple of hours before making a quick stop to stretch legs just outside Havana and then more driving for a couple hours to the bay of pigs. Driving on the east side of Havana you notice difference between the farmland. There are larger fields and crops, herds of animals. Will also admit that I didn't sleep a lot on the drive....

1st June- woken very early thanks for the roaster outside letting everyone in the neighbor hood know the sun was up. Had breakfast prepared by the women of the house again. Such fantastic fruits and always with this deliciously fresh squeezed juice. It was solid mango juice... 31st May 2013 - There is the choice of firm beds or extremely firm bed which leads to an interesting nights sleep.... But enjoyed a full buffet breakfast at the hotel complete with bread and diet bread, they both looked like white bread so not sure how one was diet and one was not. 30th May- Don't know if it is jet lag, heat or just lazy but struggled to get out of bed this morning. Enjoyed another fruit and bread roll breakfast at the casa before checking out and taking a taxi to the hotel I will stay at tonight as part of my tour.
