Jumped on the bus to Kanchanaburi and the trip took like 3 hours, I think. Just 15 minutes out of Bangkok we drove through a lot of water on the roads.
When I arrived I went together with three dutchmen to the guesthouse Blue Star and chared room with one of them. His name's Joest. At least I think you spell it that way ;)
During these three days I didn't visit any temples, thank god. I got enough of that in Angkor Wat. On the second day Joest and I rented a scooter for 150 baht and drove to Erawan Waterfall.
The third day we rented some bikes and just went around in the city. Kind of relaxing. And during the stay here at Blue Star we spent the evenings with the other dutch couple, Sophie and Joe (his name was actually another but I couldn't pronounce it). Luckily we just used "you" to each other. These two could really tell stories and I found my self laughing til I couldn't breathe :) I'm sorry that I didn't swith facebook with them.
During these days before I would go the the volunteering camp i Singburi I thought I would be on my own and travel to more places but instead I stayed in Kanchanaburi, and for that I'm glad. It was nice to catch my breathe and get to see the countryside, finally. Through all Cambodia I just saw the cities and temples. Now I got to see waterfalls and to travel by motorbike for hours, witch can be quite uncomfortable when you drive on these jumpy roads. Now I'm off to Singburi and the dutchmen went down to Ratchaburi and the beaches.
