Hey
We went to Yosemite National Park for 3 nights and while we stayed there we saw heaps of wildlife and walked along trails through the park. It was absolutely amazing and it is a must go if you are a dedicated to walking.
There were a variety of trails there each one was unique in its own way. Ranging from trails leading to waterfalls and trails going to the top of a mountain, each one had a spectacular view. The thing I found most difficult about some of these trails was when they went up hills because it tires me out really quickly but I loved when you reached your destination because it is always going to be spectacular!!
The wildlife there was also amazing, I loved being able to see different types of animals because you don't get to normally see them in Australia. There were deer, squirrels, bears and mountain lions. We didn't see any mountain lions or bears though, but we were warned about them and we were told to make heaps of noise if we ever saw one. Even when we arrived we were told to clear out any food or water in the car because the bears would be able to sniff it out from ages away, lets just say you would find your car in pieces. The deer there were absolutely amazing, they did not seem to mind humans or cars which I thought was interesting. You could go and see them roam around eating grass during the afternoons. Also there were so many squirrels there, they were like rats for us but just a fluffy version.
We hired bikes while we were there, they were like old fashioned bikes where you had to back pedal to brake because they didn't have breaks on the front. We followed bike paths which lead to all kinds of walking trails, there were bike racks at each location and you didn't have to even tie the bikes up because no one was going to take them. Those are probably my favourite type of bikes and I would buy one any day.
