Up early enough to go Jungle Surfing in Daintree Rainforest this morning. This involves flying through the trees on ziplines and stopping at platforms along the way. There were fantastic views over Cape Trib and also out to the reef. The sun was shining this morning as well, and it was hot!
Finished jungle surfing at 10.30am so it was off to the pool to chill out and read my book for a while... I haven't had much opportunity to read it up to now cos I've always had some activity planned and I couldn't go onto the beach yet cos the tide was still very high.
After a couple of hours, took a walk down the beach towards the lookout point, couldn't go in the water cos of the jellyfish and crocs. The water looked fantastic but I wasn't going to take the chance!
Had some lunch and got the bus back to Cairns.
Leaving Cape Trib on the bus we spotted a Casawari (bird like an emu) trying to cross the road, so we got a few pics. They are usually hidden in the rainforest so it was a treat to see one in the wild.
Back to the hostel for a shower, some food and a sleep... White water rafting tomorrow!
