Hi all hope all is well. Just thought I would drop you all a quick line to breifly update you on my journey so far. I am currently sat in "Peter Pans" in Cairns (tour op with free net access). Me and Jo are trying to book a few days up the coast to Cape Tribulation which is the rainforest area of Oz.
Cairns is very nice just how I expected Australia to be; very very hot, laid back and scenic. It is quite a contrast to life in Adelaide.
The wedding in Ad. was very good, the Bride and Bridesmaids all looked out of this world. (Very proud of Jo) After the service they all went off for photos on the beach etc. So me and the lads went to a local bar for a few pints (much smaller then back home, but hey we all know ozies can't drink) Anyway we headed to the evening reception about 2 hours later. It was at the local sailing club. The free drinks were flowing and we were all stood on the sun terrace looking out to sea (which was quite choppy) All of a sudden there is a boat pulling into the harbour with the brideal party on board. We all know how much Jo likes boats!! Lucky she was fine, I think the excitment of the day had taken over by then.
We have been to Jacobs Creek and Wolf Blass for all you wine lovers. Free samples being the main drink of the day, hick!! The Borossa Valley is massive and very pretty covered in all those vineyards. On the way we stopped a Cuddley Creek, which is a small zoo where you can feed all the animals. Its quite amazing getting kangaros to come up to you and eat out of your hand. I had my photo taken holding a Koala (you can't come to oz without doing that, its the rules!)
I am trying to upload some photos for you all see but having difficulties at the mo, shall keep trying as I know how jealous it will probably make you all feel!! Haha
The group is now down to just myself and Jo as everyone has now gone there separate ways. Looking forward to what lies ahead, the adventure starts here..........
