Amy's Travels
Paris, France
Paris is such a beautiful city! One week was not nearly enough to see everything. I would recommend at least two weeks for anyone traveling to Paris in the near future because it takes at least 4 days to get used to the time change!
The food was not nearly as good as I expected it to be, but the deserts were divine. I mostly ate bagettes (big sandwhiches) that can be found in vendors every 10 feet or so. And, of course, I wouldn't be able to call myself a true American if I didn't stop at the McDonald's (which proved to have the finest bathrooms in all of Paris, plus they were free!).
I also made stops at the Eiffel Tower (of course), Arc de Triumph, and The Louvre. Paris is such an entertaining city with all of the street vendors and street perfomers you could spend a whole day just watching the artists carve gold fish and other creatures out of vegetables!
The airport (Charles DeGaulle) is definantly gross. Paris is a very smokey city with people smoking on the metro and in the bathroom. And also, FYI, it is very common to see people bringing their dogs on the metro and even into the grocery store!
