Week 1: I am staying at a hotel next to Darling Harbour. Darling Harbour is a very touristic area next to downtown Sydney. The picture shows what it looks like in the evening. I have a bit of a view from my hotel room : )

The first couple of days it was hard to get up early and stay awake throughout the day but a week later.. .i'm almost developing a routine. Getting up around 7:00 and getting to work by 8:30 or so.

I take the train to work, its about 15 min train ride which crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Unlike the Montreal metro, this train goes on land so I get to enjoy the scenery :) Some coworkers told me that I could take the ferry since it is more scenetic, so I will try that in the upcoming weeks.

The weather has been good but rainy and cool in the evening. I guess I shouldn't complain since it will get warmer soon.

I have managed to cook a bit ... but eating out is a bit tempting :P I just have to keep eating healthy..

On November 2nd is the Melbourne Cup, which is a 3 min horse race in Melbourne which stops the nation. Its actually a public holiday in Melbourne.. but here in Sydney we will have a long lunch to watch the race : )
