Hi Everyone, So i have managed to arrive in one piece!! When we arrived it was pitch black so we have not really had chance to see much of Africa (apart from today). The unknown is terrifying at the moment, but I am sure that with the help from Brian and Freddie the managers here it will become my home for the next 6 weeks. Freddie has just helped me to set up a Tanzanian phone, but as it stands i have no idea what the number is ha ha, so I will post another blog with that on.
Today we have had our tour around Arusha and our first encounter with a dala-dala!! cramped certainly springs to mind. Were hoping to go on safari this weekend with some of the other girls from the house, they also have only just arrived this weekend but seem really really nice.
Its such an exciting place to be and I cant wait to have settled in properly and not feel so nervous, there is so much we want to do, the waterfalls, safari, zanzibar, the snake park the list really is endless, going to be hard work fitting them all in.
Hopefully going to go to the orphanage after work tomorrow and to the local supermarket so we know where it is, Don't worry mum day 1 and the diet is still in tact - fruit salad for lunch!! However after forcing you to make them so I didn't miss out, there is pancakes for after tea!!
Placement tomorrow, thats the next big step......

K & K Hi Sis, Glad to see you have arrived safe - hope flight not too traumatic. Thought you had gone out to work - from all the things you have planned you won't have time. Don't worry about the cost though, Derek said you could put them all on his Credit Card !!! Have fun. K&K (and no toilet lokes please)!
