Questad and Lovill's Europe Trip
Dear Friends and Family,
This party is definitely coming to an end. Its hard to belive. I will start by filling you all in on the last few days. We left Salzburg for Vienna and spent two nights there. We spent one day there floating around their downtown and another we spent relaxing and reading in a local park. Our first night there we met our other roomates (1 NY, 1 Cincinnati, 1 England, 4 Aussies) and we ended up taring up the downtown bars. It was a blast. After that we headed up to Prague which was such a neat town. Full of neat cafes and restraunts, a neat castle, cheap beer, and a very old history. We loved it there. Now we are in Berlin which is the biggest city I think I have ever been in. It is overwhelming to try and get around here. With the world cup championship here tomorrow, the town has at least doubled its size too. There are people everywhere. We went down to the fan fair yesterday, which is a mile long of big screen TVs, shops, portable restraunts, etc. which packs in a quarter of a million people for each game. We are hoping to watch the concellation game there tonight. Due to the size of the city, we are taking a walking tour today to see all the key sites in the city. Tomorrow we are going to have a nice and easy day at the Berlin Zoo (We both just read Life of Pi which makes several references to the Berlin Zoo so we figured we would stop by and see what its all about). The its off to Amsterdam on monday.
As most of you already know, Nick and I lost our dear friend Eric Fergen this past week. It has been a troubling last couple of days full of stories, prayers, and reflection. It has been an absolute blessing to have eachother out here though. I dont think we would have been able to deal with it alone out here. We have both made arrangements to leave early on the 11th out of Amsterdam in order to make it back up to Seattle for the funeral. We ask that you please keep Eric, his family, and friends in all of your prayers. Thanks for tracking us along the way and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
