Hi Everyone
We had a great drive from Buckeye to Las Vegas on Friday and have spent our time over the past few days just finishing off little things that we wanted to do on the motor home and arranging storage for her at Bob's place. We've been out to his house at Henderson every day since we've been here. Noel has been giving him a hand to do some work on his boat trailer so we can put our motor home where he usually stores his boat. We have been staying at Sam's Town RV Park but it is so cold here that we haven't even been into the strip at night - can you believe it. The skies are as blue as blue can be and we are making the most of it before we head home. If only the sun was warmer or maybe just the wind die down! We have seen photos on the internet of the water everywhere back home and hope that everyone is OK and taking care on the roads.
Tomorrow we pick up our hire car and then pack the motor home away at Bob's place before heading off to LA. Tomorrow night we are staying in Apple Valley to visit Raeleen and Russ who we met last trip over here. Raeleen was the lovely lady who gave Noel a lift and helped arrange the tow truck when we blew the gear box. We've stayed in contact so want to catch up with them on our way through. As we now wont have the motorhome, we will book into a motel for the night.
We've heard from the shipping company and everything is in order for the old motor home to leave here on 28/1/11 and will then be due to arrive in Brisbane around 10/3/11, all going well. Thankfully we dont have to go back to finalize anything there.
Wednesday will then see us drive from Apple Valley into LA and maybe do some sightseeing before boarding our plane home. How sad is that. I can't believe that almost 8 weeks have passed already. It has gone so fast. We've had a great trip even though the weather hasn't been on our side. We didn't get to travel as far as we would have liked, but with such icy roads in some areas we preferred to stay put so at least we are well rested. We fly into Brisbane on Friday (Australian time) and hopefully the kids will be able to get to the airport to collect us otherwise we might be swimming home!
Well this will more than likely be our last blog before we get home now but I will send another if we get the opportunity (internet connection allowing). We hope you have enjoyed following our travels and that we haven't bored you too much. It is such an amazing country and the scenery is spectacular so we hope that more of you will try and make the time to come over here one day and see what it is like for yourselves. Thanks again to everyone for the messages that you have posted onto our website while we have been away. We really appreciate them. Also thanks to those who have phoned us and skyped us as well. It has been great to keep in touch with what's happening at home.
We will be home over the weekend once we get home so if anyone feels like calling in to say hi, please feel free to do so. You can bring a mop and bucket if you like and help clean up downstairs!! :-)
So until we catch up in person..... take care, especially on the wet roads.
Lots of love to everyone - we'll collect the hugs and kisses soon

Bruce Adams Hi Pam and Noel, Sad for holidays to end, good to hear you had a good trip. Currently access to airport OK. If you have any problems with being picked up on Friday when you get here give me a call and we will send up a bus to get you, we were driving through water yesterday (Tuesday) a couple of feet deep on the gateway. Cheers, Bruce.
