Sucre (20 April)
Why we're not travellers:
Long-distance taxi instead of bus
Hotel suite
Fine dining
We got to Potosi before the buses we'd missed had due to arrive (our driver was an animal) and headed to a hotel we'd seen advertised. Head negotiator Schills was in his element as the staff had no backbone, and he managed to get us a 2 bedroom hotel suite complete with reception room for less than £6 each per night. Amazing! We definitely took advantage of the cable TV!
We went out for a sick lunch at the best restaurant in Sucre the next day before hitting a churrascaria (BBQ house) for dinner. We were getting a taxi back to the hostel when we decided to go out, and instructed the taxi driver to take us somewhere with "muchas chicas". He took us to a gringo bar where the girls were pretty butters to be honest so we just got lashed! They didn't quite understand the concept of 'bombs' at this place and thus jagerbombs were 50:50 jager and redbull. That was until Schills requested "mas" and the bartended duly obliged. Good/bad times! We ended up going out to a club, but my memory is limited, and got back to the hotel at about 6:30am when it was light. I love those kind of nights!
The next day was our last together before going our separate ways. We got up late, went to the sick restaurant for lunch before finally getting our laundry back dirty and/or burnt and packing up. We said our goodbyes, and then Schills got a local bus to Santa Cruz and I did likewise to Tupiza.
