Dusk on the Cauvery
Karur, India
Boring weekend with light pretensions of work at Karur :P Towards evening, we got tired of over sleeping (yeah, even this can happen!) and decided to head off to the near Cauvery river.
Brilliant roads of TN as usual - the setting sun like an ornage orb, atop acre after acre of coconut plantations was a majestic sight - with the wind on my face, the dusk looked so out-of-this-world: the western sky all aglow in shades of red and silhouettes of the palms bidding adieu with their shimmering leaves endlessly...
On hindsight,I wish I could have stopped the car on the highway and taken a pic. But as photographer Sean o'Connell says in the 'Secret Life of Walter Mitty,' some moments are too good to be burdened with the distraction of a photo: 'If I like a moment, for me, personally, I don't like to have the distraction of the camera. I just want to stay in it.'
Finally reached the Cauvery at dusk to see the light crimson hues melting in the sluggish waters...
