New York has so much to offer, no matter how many times you go there, there´s always so much new to experience. Still I always love to spend lots of time in Central Park, looking at locals playing baseball, riding horses, running, biking, having picknics and getting married…next time I´ll go and have a yoga class there as I´ve already experienced it in Bryant Park, surrounded by the huge skycrapers. Heck this time I even spotted a semiprofessional nature photographer who had been following the local eagle couple´s life for years, so much life in the park - and actually in all the parks in the city during the summer. E.g my favorite thing here is to go dancing lindy hop and salsa in Lincoln Center, listening some jazz too, and having a picknic in Bryant Park looking at the outdoor movies. Also during summer there´s great performers in the Summer stage music happening, I´ve seen e.g Alqeligue Kidjo here, and it´s all free!
Times Squares lights are even more beautiful during rain, with all the reflections and the Modern Art Museum has always something inspiring. Then there´s the magical Brooklyn bridge and Brooklyn with more bohemian places, like the village too with great restaurants, nightlife, cafes and second hand shops.
Union Square has some nice markets where designers well hand made jewerly, art and all kinds of nice stuff. The Newyorkers I talked to told me there´s now a nice route around the whole island that you can do by bike, just rento one e.g from Central Park.
The Guggenheim is architecturally probably one of the most beautiful buildings I´ve ever been to, it´s life being inside a shell, with mind blowing art. So I quess I wonder, who cares about shopping in Macy´s or spending too much time shopping here anyway, when you can see world class performances, concerts and so many things you won´t see anywhere else - every single day!
