Natalie's adventures
Well today is my last official day in Australia! Tomorrow doesn't count as my flight leaves at 9.30am. I have mixed emotions about leaving tomorrow. I'm sad to be leaving the land down under as I've had such a fantastic time here for the last nine weeks. I have met so many wonderful characters and had so much fun! I'm excited about going to NZ but also a bit nervous. As this is my last post from Australia, I'd better tell you how I spent my last two days! Sam drove into the city on Friday morning to pick me up for a day of exploring. He drove me to Palm Beach where Home and Away is filmed then treated me to lunch. We went to a local National Park and drove up to a viewing point which provided excellent views along the coastline and also a close encounter with a wallaby! After a good chat and a few beers, it was time for me to go back into the city. I had been hoping to catch up with Greg on Friday night but hadn't heard from him so after a power nap, I went out for dinner with one of my new room mates, Svenya. We decided that it would be a waste of a Friday night if we didn't check out at least one bar so headed into the hostels bar for cocktails!! Saturday morning I dragged Svenya on the "Natalie's quick guided tour of Sydney" I only had time to do the Paddy's market, Darling Harbour section before giving her a list of activities and sending her on her way. I met up with Louise and Andy (my Ocean road kidnappers) for some lunch and then it was a quick dash (well only a few blocks really) to the bus station to catch the bus to Mona Vale to mmet up with Sam again. He took me to a bbq at his brother's house and we all watched Australia lose to the All Blacks in the first Tri Nations game (rugby, for all you footy fans). I caught the 11pm bus back to the city and went to bed.
