Hello Everyone!
Well, have we had a crazy 3 weeks!! We are currently on a week off this week and so as we are not on charter and off land we get the chance to get back on the interenet and get back in contact. We'd love to contact you every week but unfortunately whilst we are out on charter we are unable to gain internet access. Anyway!! New Years was amazing, we were invited to a beach Party in Simpson Bay. We had a barbe que and got to see fire works going off on the surrounding bay. It was perfect but we couldn't have too late a night as we were straight out on charter the day after. This means that we have to get up on Saturday morning, spend the day preparing the boat, previsions, maintenance etc ready for our guests arrival AT 5PM. So at 5pm we greeted our guests on board our Boat PANTERA! Off we went for our first week charter in St Martin. We had a fab week. The guests were lovely and we got to know Pantera and St Martin really well. The following week we were also on Pantera for our next charter and again we were lucky enough to have some fantastic lovely guests who made our jobs very easy. We were also in close contact with the other boat out that week, MOTU ITI. All guests from both boats were really into pirating so we spent a lot of the week, sneaking around late at night playing practical jokes on the other boat. We gave as good as we got you'll be pleased to know and our defense included, stringing empty cans to the main sail, stealing their canoe, leaving messages in bottles, water bombing them and using tape to change their boat name to TITI!!! We are very proud to say that it was our boat PANTERA that arrived back to base with the pirate flag flying!!! I forgot to mention that we spent the best part of the week without it due to the fantastic pirating tactiocs from MOTU ITI!
So here with tradewindes we get two weeks on and 1 week off so this week is our week off. When we are off the boat is also off and so we stay on PANTERA on the dock. This week we have taken the opportunity to learn to dive. We have nearly completed our Open Water section off diving and are both really into it. We are both really looking forward to becoming dive Masters in the next few months so that we can take our diving guests out with us rather than calling a dive company in to take them.
We are back out for our next Charter in St Martin on Saturday and are both really looking forward to it. We are missing home and all our friends and family loads and are so grateful to everyone who emails us and posts on our blog as we love to hear from you all. We send our love to everyone and will update again on our next week off.
