The craziness of a city as big as Bangkok. How to describe it?

Crazy incident no. 1 : After leaving my guesthouse room at 8am to wander around I was approached by a lady asking me "Hello! What is your name?" I answered but she followed me down the road for a few minutes and kept talking to me and then suddenly left. I am pretty sure she just wanted to practice her English.

no. 2 : While standing on a corner looking at my map trying to figure out where to go a man who seemed to work at the police toursit office (whatever that is) told me where I should go and arranged a Tuk-Tuk for me and then sent me on my way. Random but nice and in the end very cheap :)

no. 3 : After deciding to ditch getting another taxi and just walk to where I wanted to go I found myself in a part of town where I swear I was the only non-Thai person in sight for about 15 minutes. I had to ask at the Dairy for them to direct me to a street I knew, which then proceeded to turn into 4 or 5 members of staff trying to work out how to actually get there from wherever it was that we all were. I must have gotten very off track.

*sigh*
