I spent Tuesday and Wednesday in the primary school where Juanita works. She teaches English there and I went into her lessons. It's a new, small private school with only 48 children! I visited the hot springs in Paipa (1st Oct) as I decided it couldn't really make my cold any worse and might even help it! Thursday 29th September I spent the last few days visiting the 'pueblos' around Sogamoso. And there are many pretty little towns in the area! They are quiet, peaceful places, based around the main square and the church. I travelled to Sogamoso on Monday (26th)-it was a short journey. Bus from Villa de Leyva to Tunja (45 mins) then Tunja to Sogamoso (just under 90 mins I think). The bus people make me laugh, they sell it as "Sogamoso directo" then once it sets off you find out it's stopping in Paipa!
