3rd - 6th October. Byron Bay.
-Prolonged interlude. Mit chips.
This wasn’t the plan. Not at all. The plan was to spend a solitary night in Byron due to the ridiculous rubbishness of Greyhound in NSW and then move onto Coff’s harbour a few hours south for a couple of nights before our next WWOOF host. However this was not to be, a number of complicating factors (not least the chocking price of additional Greyhound journeys – fifty bucks for an hours journey?!) fell us foul and in the end we ended up staying in Byron three nights instead. Now Byron’s a nice place…but we’ve been here before not that long ago…and the incessant rain hardly extends our options…
It was pretty dull for the most part. Sure, there was no work or massive demands on our time but the host we’d come from had been about as far from full on as you can get so we didn’t really need such downtime. Blogs were written. Books read. There was a fleeting few hours of sunshine Monday afternoon, so we got in some beach time and even brought some chips to eat by the sea that evening…that was good half day actually. Mostly waiting though. Time invariably moves forward to it passed. In the end.
