so we have moved on from bariloche on to villa la ngostura, this was interesting. no one spoke english so we tried our hand at what spanish we could muster up between us, as well as much hand gesture action. we had planned only to spemd a night there but ended up spemding two due to the lack of seats on buses. this proved to be interesting. we managed to blag a guided tour of the rgion from a guy in our hostel who used to live there and had a car. thus we saw a lot more than we had planned when we were just walking. its a lot like bariloche so very beautiful. we then got the bus (5hrs) to Osorno, we had no accvommodation booked here and got in at 9pm so were hopeing to get a bus out that night to santiago. our chances of this were v slim and it looked like we were gonna have to rough it and sleep in the bus station. luckily this chilian guy cane to our rescue nd managed to get us the last 3 tockets out of osorno to santiago that night one for him two for us. this ws an interesting bus journey which lasted 13hrs. not quite the bus we are used to no leg room, no sleep and ppl standing throughout the journey, mad. when we got to sntigo the bloke from the bus mom gave us lift to the hostel, which was brill. santiago is boiling, but so pretty. ots niot my favourite place weve been thougha little boring after buenos aires. have to go. will update once more before we leave of new zealand. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
