Ok - so I'm not doing too well on the blog thing!I have tried a couple of times but the thing keeps crashing. I should by now have everyone's correct address added too.
I have now finished my training weeks and am in full teaching swing. I teach 21 hours a week and have to do 8 prep hours for lesson plans etc. It's taking me a lot longer at the mo but I'll hopefully get the knack soon and be spending minimum amount of time in school! For those who are interested:
Monday - thursday
1-2pm at the High school - 30x 11/12 year olds
4.30-6.30pm The Language (Private English school)
FRIDAY OFF!!!
Sat & Sun
10-12pm & 1-3pm The Language
It's a bit harsh working at 10am at the weekend, especially today when there was a party last night with free food and drink - (not technically free, it was supposed to be 200Baht entry but if you write a sign in Thai you can't expect non-Thai readers to pay surely????) but I am counting down to my week off June 24th. I'm hoping to head to Koh Tao to get PADI certified and conquer my fear of water!
For anyone wanting to pencil in a visit my time off is:
June 24-30/ Aug 14-20/ Oct 2-8. I don't have dates for my 2nd semester yet but I'll keep you posted.
We have finally hired a cleaner for the house - living with 2 boys who don't see dirt means there's massive cockroaches and ants everywhere but not for long. I've also got myself a motorcycle - scary at first but I love it now. Thailand drives on the left hand side of the road but thats where the similarity to UK ends. They never actually stay on the left hand side of the road and turning right is a bit hit and miss. Also the traffic lights seem to always be flashing amber unless they are red which here apparently only means stop if there's something coming the other way. And you can always turn left whatever the lights are doing ??????
