5:30PM
After spending a nice relaxing week in Tampa, it was time to get back on the fearal bus. This time it was a 6 hour ride. Plain and simple it sucked.
We got to Miami bus station about 5:30PM then getting a rancid over priced taxi to our hotel which is so far away from everything.
Checking into our hotel was difficult... not getting the right room and the guy being so hard to deal with. Followed by dinner at the hotel, which was horrible. By 7:30PM we were angry, tired and had enough so off to bed we went.
The next morning after a good 12 hour sleep we where ready to explore. Being that any food and shops are about 20 minutes away from our hotel we started to walk. The weather is so strange here, so sunny but then it rained haha. Burgers and beer near the beach <3
Yesterday we got up the courage to take the local bus to Aventura Mall. A giant shopping center with EVERYTHING you can think of, including a cinema. We spent way over our budget... we found an art store selling the COOLEST Star Wars photos. Plus we can never help ourselfs when we go into a Hot Topic :P haha. After a major shopping spree we went to the movies. Got to see Warm Bodies, by far the coolest movie I have seen in a long time! Getting home about 6:30PM we where tired so we decided we would call the local pizza place for food. 2 hours later they rock up with our food, half of it missing... we called back 3 times each time they said they were on there way with the rest of the food. Another 2 hours later we figured they werent coming back :( I've never seen Liam so angry in my life.... Nobody comes between Liam and his food.
Today was awesome! We got a tour bus to Jungle Island. On the way we got a little insight of the town. Seeing all the rich and famous peoples houses along the river and all the massive boats and yachts, and I mean MASSIVE. It's crazy people have that much money, the guide pointed out that the houses average on 14 million! Getting into Jungle Island we were greated by heaps of birds and a baby alligator (as you can see in the photo) Holding a bird like a baby was the funnest thing I think i've done... but so freaking adorable haha. I was physicaly forsed to hold the alligator, the people just keepntelling me to think of it as a handbag LOL. The park was only small only spending about 3 or so hours there watching 2 animal shows. The second show we saw was the best, all about big cats. They brang out baby tigers and they also had little monkeys and a wolf. We got picked up again by a different tour guide. He was pretty cool telling us more about Miami and pointing out things like Richard Branson's yacht and the island of mansions which is the most expensive zip code in the world. He also told us what he knew about Australia. Apparently aboriginal eat white people? HAHA. We thought we would do a little bit more exploring so the driver dropped us off in South Beach (check out the map below if you want to see where everything is Miami) Walking around in South Beach is pretty cool, alot of palm trees and little shops, bars and restaurants. Getting back on the bus to go back to our hotel, by now we are bus experts :P
So now we are just hanging in our hotel room which is only good for one thing... the awesome view of the ocean.
I think beers are in order.
