Hey everyone! We started our sightseeing today in hot and sweaty Bangkok! We were meant to leave real early but slept in coz nin switched off the alarm! Consquently we ended up leavin our hostel at the hottest time with no clue which direction we were heading in...we stumbled into this random Thai restaurant all white and sweaty - proper two strappers - everyone looking at us and laughing..we didn't know what anything was so we grabbed an ice-cream and ran, i don't think this was really the tourist area. We eventually decided to get a taxi to the grand palace - which was actually closed when we got there?!! So then we hopped on a tuk- tuk - a bike with a little carriage on the back to sit in, which took us round all the buddahs in thailand for about 30p. It was very cool - we even met a random guy from Malaysia who guessed we were from Southport when we said we were from near Liverpool! He had a friend who went to the same uni as nin and lived in the port - we wondered if it was gary pierce for a wee while? Its a small world... We are off to Patpong tonight to check out the red light district...
