Today was another beach day. We watched many surfers falling off their boards and were out in the sun all morning reading and relaxing, but by lunch time we had decided that due to another swim making us all salty we would have to go for a shower. Once again it was freezing cold water in the beach side showers but wasn’t too bad and it was great to wash the salt out of our hair. After lunch we decided that although it was lovely we had better get going south. We found a rest stop called Sleepy Hollow on the way down and had to stop there for lunch to see if we could spot any headless horsemen, no luck but we did treat ourselves to the one non-rice meal we had left, a tin of beans fried eggs and bread. Yum! We drove most of the afternoon towards Sydney and made it as far as a place called Kempsy, the first rest stop was full of odd men siphoning petrol from barrels into vans (we decided they must be the famous Boguns of Australia) so moved on to find a nice quiet spot totalling 3550 kilometres so far.
