Today was the start of our real work. We were split into groups of 12 and were given a job for each day. Today my groups job was to go into the fields and cut the grass for the Elephants. After and hour and a half of driving, standing up at the back of a truck we finally arrived at the field. We spent the morning cutting grass with a machete, even in the scorching heat we had to wear long pants and jerseys, still have alot of cuts and scratches though. After cutting the grass and having some lunch we then had to collect all the grass, divide the grass into 300 bunches and then full up the truck with the grass, having to sit on top of grass for our journey home.

Knowing that I would possibly never do anything like this before, it was really amazing being out in the fields in the small villages. We werent able to spend much time with the Elephants today, but our duty tomorrow is shoveling Elephant drops and then we have the day with the Elephants, but you can hear all about that tomorrow:)
