The first school week in London is over which means I'm 1/3 of the way done with my marketing class and 1/6 done with my time here in London almost :(. I dislike that second part a lot.
My classwork has become more intense as the week has gone on. We are already underway with our group project and starting to write the final paper for it. Working on a group project here has been much different than Northeastern. I'm the only American in my class. The girls in my group are from China, France, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Thailand. It can be a little difficult and sometimes frustrating for all of us at times to understand what one another is trying to say or explain because we all think so differently. It's been really interesting so far and I'm curious to see how everything is going to go from here until we complete the project in two weeks. Also, I noticed that students from different countries all have different work ethics and values about school. Its kind of fascinating to talk to all the people I have met here about their own universities back at home and how it compares to Northeastern.
Each day I feel more lucky about being in London. I love exploring the city around my campus every day and I can't wait for tomorrow (weekend!) to finally go sightseeing. The group and I are probably going to get a London pass which is a discounted package to see a bunch of the attractions here (Tower of London, tower bridge, buckingham palace etc.) Im super excited.
I couldn't be more happier to be here in London for the world cup finals. The two games this week have been so much fun to watch and experience here. I can honestly say that watching the Dutch crowd party in the streets here after Holland beat Uruguay was one of the most fun nights ever. Sunday is going to be even crazier, go Holland. :)
I'll end this with saying I'm wickeddddd excited for tonight. Friday night, finally.
Bye to all.
