ARRRRRRR ME HEARTIES.
Well it has truly been a while since my last wee update. Ooops. I can honestly say that the last two months have been the best and busiest of my life! It started off with a three week European tour organized by Rotary. I travelled to Vienna, Prague, Dresden, Berlin, Hamburg, Borkum, Den Haag, Brussels, Paris, Strasbourg and Freibourg with a group of around 30 other exchange students from all around the world! It truly was such an amazing group to be with and we had SO much fun getting to know each other and travelling to a whole load of beautiful and interesting places! The crazy thing was, I arrived home after this three week long tour, spent the night at my host dads place hectically washing all my clothes, and then set off the next day upon a week long trip into the north of France organized by my school! I saw some of the most beautiful gothic architecture, and experienced the blazing sun and fresh mussels in the town of Caen, in upper Normandy. I got to know my school class so much better and made some amazing memories and totally awesome new friends! The next three days after returning from France allowed me to rest my totally exhausted body for a while. But three days was a little too little! I was still exhausted as I set off in the train to Switzerland at the end of my three day pause and I slept like a log! I ended up in a tiny town in the mountains behind Interlaken called Kandersteg for the 5 day long wedding celebrations of a New Zealander friend of mine who was to marry a Swiss boy! It was totally crazy to hang out with New Zealanders for the first time in 5 months! I even met my next-door neighbour there. Crazy stuff. After returning from a truly beautiful traditional Swiss wedding, I ended up finally back in Karlsruhe. And good thing too, because my New Zealand family had just arrived, in transit from a dance festival in Prague and heading to Luxembourg 5 days later. So I hung out a lot with my family for the next 5 days and ended up just getting more and more tired! It was a busy time and I managed to show my family a pretty good chunk of my hometown Karlsruhe. At the end of that very week, in the wake of my family's visit, I changed host family's for the first time during my exchange! I now live about 35 minutes out of town, in a rural village in the hills behind Karlsruhe. I have to take the train in to school every morning and a bus as well, which essentially means I am travelling for about 2 hours to and from school every day! It is a long way away but I am relishing the change. It gives me the chance to really relax, focus on music practice, German, and going for runs in the forest - which is pretty much my backyard! The summer holidays began last week, which means I no longer have to get up at the ludicrously early hour of 5:40! Last week I travelled with my host family and their cousins to Germany's biggest theme park for the day! It was fantastic! Two weeks ago I began my training plan for my first half marathon in Luxembourg next month. I also look forward to a family trip to the Spanish island of Mallorca in three days time! At the same time I do however look forward to getting back to good old new Zealand next year sometime….
Liebe Grüße!
Love to all, miss you guys all so so much back in Kiwiland.

Luis Yoooo what are you doing in my hometown you sick nutcake!!
James McPherson FINALLY!! Yeah, good blog bro. that's pretty hardcore doing a half marathon though... I might just stick with the Physics and Maths haha. The rate at which the year is progressing means that you will probably be back in Dunnerz soon as! It will be sweet to have a 1337 catchup sometime, but I'm going to have to make do with Skype for the moment. Speaking of speaking, when suits you for our next session?
