Wednesday 1st September

Today we sadly left New Zealand after a wonderful time here. We checked out of our lovely apartment in Auckland, and spent the day in the city. We went up the Sky Tower to see really amazing panoramic views of the city. We also watched a few people jump off as part of the official 'Sky Jump' - far too scary for us but fun to watch!

In the afternoon we walked through Auckland Domain, a nice park, to the Auckland Museum. We spent a good few hours here looking at interesting Maori artefacts, natural history of New Zealand and took part in the interactive volcano experience (they re-enacted what it would be like if a volcano hit - with moving floors and everything!). We then left for the airport and flew out to Hong Kong.
