I slept like a log last night but woke up in a freezing shed! It had no heating besides a poxy little fan on the wall! I put that on and heated the room while I went over for a shower. I got ready relatively slowly and it was nice to take my time. I left with plenty of time to spare and drove to the drop of place for my car. On the way they played our last coach song, Set It Off, which bought it all to an end. Just like the first coach song did in the bar on our last night in Sydney. Funny how things happen.
No paperwork or anything at the car hire place, just put my bag in the trailer and was given a lift to departures. I was in the van with another girl on her own who lives in Perth. We got chatting and both went to weigh our bags on an empty checking in desk. Thankfully mine was under the allowance (god knows how!) but hers were over. So I gave her a hand cramming stuff into another bag and stretching her bag shut! Very random but she was nice so I thought I'd help. She was still over so think he had to pay. I wandered round the shops for a bit before waiting to board. Buying stuff for people is so hard as it mostly means nothing unless you've been out here.
I've got 3.5 hours to Sydney, an hour in Sydney, then 24 hours through to London although I think we stop for an hour in Singapore again to refuel. Loooong time! But it's so totally 110% worth it. Although ask me that Thursday morning when I land and I may have a different opinion!......
