Nicky and Ben's Travels
Old air hostesses do not die, they work for US Airways. She must have been at least 200. The plane had less than 30 passengers and was stuck together with gaffer tape(really), We had the emergency exit which meant that we had to be able to rip out the window and throw it out in case of an emergency. Our seats doubled as life vests and in case of emergency we had to take them out of the window with us. Luckily we did not crash, especially as we were not travelling over water and nothing in the emergency drill could have prepared us for the possibility of crashing over land.
Still hot still sunny, but what I didn't know is that this area was so flat, when we flew in there isn't a hill for miles.
Pickup from the airport was great, straight to the hostel, not sure how often we will have that luxury though!
It's a big waterfall!
Well you knew that bit already and it is as spectacular as you would think. However what you may not know is that mere feet from this amazing natural beauty is the tackiest street you have ever seen. This is blackpool x1000, if you want novelty keyrings, lolly pops, waxworks or "scary" castles then Clifton street is for you otherwise it is just a street on the way to the falls. The falls themself are magical, especially at night, the spray shoots 50 feet or more above the falls and the views of the people below bobbing about in the maid of the mist (I, II, III...VIII etc there are lots of them) are fantastic. Off to Toronto tomorrow, feels like we have been traveling for longer then the few days that have passed, it is fantastic though.
