I'm sorry it has been so long since I have posted here, no excuse really! The motorbike adventure certainly sounded a little crazy, would you do it again? It is funny how once you hand over the money they go from being nice to grumpy and rude (suit guys too).
You might remember nicki that I got a shirt taylor made in Phuket, to this day it is my best/favourite shirt. It is more comfortable and better looking than all my more expensive ones from 'western' shops. Assuming that those taylors are as good as the ones in Phuket, you won't regret buying those suits/shirts and dresses!
A shame about the gluten incident, it must be tough trying to steer clear of wheat. I am starting to see 'gluten' free isles at the new world supermarkets over here!
It's awesome you met up with your friends again in Nha Trang, being in a larger group will certainly help negotiate prices down and give you a better sense of security and control of your surroundings! Party time!

Hey team!!!!
Lastest blog is great, such detail Nik I can tell Aza is not the one documenting the trip lol....no in all seriousness this is a great way to keep track of your latest and greatest adventures. Anyway if you go back to Ho Chi Min you need to try the 'Rex' hotel which has a restaurant on the roof top. My masters supervisor was telling me he is heading over for a month and the place is meant to be amazing....this may be useless information for you now though. Anyway we are rolling into the wknd here and off course it's rainibg in good old Dunedin city, at least you guys are amoungst the good weather. Just checking in anyway and Aza it's time for a FB message.....I see you have met loads of people as you are tagged in all these random peoples photos! Hope all is well and your looking after one another. Much love Tash xoxo

Hi Guys, just read your blog to see where your up to, sounds as if your constantly feasting? - i feel the same here in Thailand, it's the best cuisine i've had to date and as you say - how cheap!!. Interesting to hear your views, especially as your on a similar route - agree with the war museum, the kids pictures were a welcome relief as it was pretty hard going. Cambodia is just as tough but when you get to Angkor WOW, can't wait to see what you think. Enjoy the journey and look forward to reading soon - it's stirs up my recent wonderful memories.

We're just loving your detailed updates! The food sounds soooo delicious - and those evenings on the beach sound the stuff of future nostalgia. I'm sure you will notice quite a contrast when you go to Cambodia - look forward to hearing about it. Luv Mum.

Sounds like you guys had a bit of an ordeal but I wholeheartedly agree with your parents... if there was one thing that I learnt while travelling over there it was that we are $ signs... Not to everyone though :) there are some locals that are just genuinely nice and would give you the shirt off their back and when you meet them it makes it all worth it :) and never eat at a restaurant with no advertised prices!
on another note the trip still sounds wicked and am i love reading your blog every week, its exciting to keep up with you guys, i never know where you will be off to next... enjoy hoi an it sounds like a nice breather

Great blog posting - you guys are learning fast that western visitors to Indo-Chinese countries are just seen as BIG $$$ signs to the locals. No matter how budget minded you are their mission in life is to extract as much money as possible from you. And in reality you are extremely wealthy compared to them. We think you got off lightly, so put it all down to experience! A good rule to follow is that if the price sounds to good to be true, it almost certainly is!
Hope the weather improves - stay safe!

Hi you two!!!
Sounds like your having an amazing time!!! I loved Vietnam when I was there a few years ago! Such great times!!! I'm stoked your parents gave me the link to your blog, its awesome, and now I can keep an eye on my lovely cuzzie, and keep up to date with your travels! Sounds like I'll be seeing you in Feb for Rich and Caro's wedding, it will be so great to catch up then! Ok, keep the news coming, much love to you both, Georgina xxx
